Maldives to attend CRC Committee meeting

A Maldivian delegation has left for Geneva to attend the Meeting of the Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC), where the “Second and Third Combined Periodic Report” will be discussed. 
Submitted to CRC in 2006, the “Second and Third Combined Periodic Report” is an evaluation report on the progress of implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).
The Maldivian delegation will meet the CRC Committee on 23rd May in Geneva . The delegation left for Geneva yesterday morning. They are expected to return on the 26th
The Maldives Delegation is headed by Gender Minister Aishath Mohammed Didi. She was accompanied by Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Muhusin, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Azima Shukoor, Gender Ministry DG Maana Rafiu, and Child and Family Protection Authority Director Mazeena Jameel. Others in the delegation were Director at AG Office Mohammed Anil, and Deputy Director at Justice Ministry Aishath Shujoon.
