Steps taken for entry of workers to Malaysia

Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur has said they have undertaken extra steps to facilitate the entry of Bangladeshi workers into Malaysia amid reports that they were facing troubles on arrival there.
"All high commission officials are discharging their duties imposed upon them in the process of huge manpower recruitment here from Bangladesh," Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur said in a statement received here on Saturday.
In such an incident of troubles, it said, 29 Bangladeshi workers were stranded at the "immigration transit depot" at the Kuala Lumpur Airport as their recruiting authorities did not appear there to receive them due to a "communication gap" during their arrival time.
The high commission officials contacted the Bangladeshi workers' recruiting authorities, who promised to bring them to their workplace later.
In another statement on Friday, the High Commission said everyday nearly 1,200 Bangladeshi workers come to Malaysia in different flights but often land there in troubles in the process of immigration checking that take a long time.
The trouble lingers in cases when the immigration officials become suspicious finding any inconsistency in the workers' travel documents or finger prints and the recruiting authorities do not appear on time to receive them.
